If you live in our enrolment zone your child is eligible to attend the school. The map shows the area of our zone or you can scroll down to check the written description below.
In order to enrol, contact the school office on 09 8469288 or email email@example.com to make an appointment with the Principal Marian Caulfield.
Giving the school as much notice as possible of any new enrolments enables us to ensure we are well prepared for new students arriving at the school.
Each year the board decides how many out-of-zone places are likely to be available at each level in the following year – this is known as a 'ballot'. The board will publish a notice in the local newspaper indicating how to apply for a place and a deadline for the applications. The information is usually published in late August or early September. Places are then chosen randomly according to the following priorities:
First Priority. This priority category is not applicable at this school because the school does not run a Special programme approved by the Secretary.
Second Priority will be given to applicants who are siblings of current students.
Third Priority will be given to applicants who are siblings of former students.
Fourth Priority will be given to any applicant who is a child of a former student of the school.
Fifth Priority will be given to any applicant who is either a child of an employee of the board of the school or a child of a member of the board of the school.
Sixth Priority will be given to all other applicants.
If there are more applicants in the second, third, fourth, or fifth priority groups than there are spaces available, selection within the priority group will be by a ballot conducted in accordance with instructions issued by the Secretary under Section 11G (1) of the Education Act 1989. Parents will be informed of the date of any ballot by notice in the community newspaper (Central Leader) circulating in the area served by the school. Applicants seeking second or third priority status may be required to give proof of a sibling relationship.
After the ballot is complete, families who are chosen will be contacted within four days.
If accepted, an appointment will be made to meet with the Principal to complete the enrolment process.
