Term 4 Week 1

First Week Term 4 with Room 6 & Room 8

This week at GTT, Rooms 6 & 8 made Mini Herb Pizzas and Apple & Pear Fruit Crumble.

It was delicious and there were NO leftovers! We also whipped up some fresh cream to serve with our crumble. Yummy!

Our gardeners harvested some fresh radishes which we used as one of our pizza toppings which were really tasty.

I love hearing the children talk about what GTT recipes they made with their families during the school holidays.

Garden Discovery

The vegetables in the garden had grown a lot over the holiday break. Students had fun exploring the garden to discover new things that had grown, in particular the radishes, broad beans and peas.

Week Ending 25th October Broadbeans, Herbs and Apples

This week at GTT, Room 10 made Gozleme and used spinach and silverbeet from the garden.  They learnt about adding yeast and sugar to warm water to make a rising agent.

They also made Apple and Cinnamon Muffins. Both recipes were really yummy.

Room 7 made Herb Rolls and Broadbean dip, using broadbeans  & herbs from the garden. They also made Crunchie Lemon Muffins. The rolls were nice and fluffy, as were the muffins. The dip was garlicky and full of nutrients.

The recipes are on the GTT website, apart from the Broadbean Dip which I've attached below and the Gozleme which I'll send in another email.
