SPORTS

Welcome to our school Sports  Page.

You will find all the information you need about the Sports Teams we offer here.

Our aim at Mt Albert Primary School is to meet the needs of all students, no matter their ability in sport. We want to encourage participation and learning of skills, so students can explore, perform and excel in their chosen sport(s).

Eden Albert Inter school Sports
Our school is part of the Eden Albert Cluster.  The cluster normally has three inter school sports competitions a term for Year 5-6 students.

Information can be found on the Upcoming Sport Events tab.

Parent  Helpers
It is great to have  parent helpers on board to help, especially with inter school competitions. If you would like to lend a hand please don’t hesitate to contact Mr Proud, Rm19.

School Code of Conduct
At Mt Albert Primary we like to encourage our students on and off the field.  All parents and staff will need to sign a
code of conduct form before taking students to a competition

Swimtastic Day Out!

On Tuesday 28th of February, Mount Albert Primary took on the Eden/Albert schools in a competitive and tough day of swimming. The inter school swimming competition allowed the best swimmers from our local area to show off their swimming skills and prove their abilities by racing against each other.

What a tough competition! As the MAPS team free-styled, backstroked and breast-stroked against future swimming champions, we demonstrated the MAPS spirit and displayed determination, enthusiasm and ability.

Eden/Albert Cricket Tournament 2017

On Tuesday the 7th of March, Mount Albert Primary sent two cricket teams to take on the Eden/Albert schools in a toughly contested cricket tournament. The two teams did Mount Albert proud and represented our school both with awesome cricket skills and through their positive attitude and respectful behaviour.

Both a girl’s and a boys’ team were entered and both demonstrated determination in their respective competitions. Out of the 13 schools attending the girls came in at 6th place with the boys coming in 7th, a solid effort considering the quality of all players at the competition.

Thanks for all the effort of the boys and girls and for the parent help that supported the team on the day. Well done MAPS.
