Year 6 Graduation

Parents of Year 6 students did a fantastic job of transforming the hall and organising a wonderful  dinner for our Year 6 leavers.  The guest speaker Fred Ah Koi spoke to our students about preparing themselves for the future, encouraging them to continue to work hard even when times get tough and to keep striving to be the best they can be. All Year 6 students received their graduation certificate and their greenstone. The boys were presented with a Patu greenstone to symbolise facing and overcoming life's difficulties and challenges. The girls were presented with a Roimata greenstone to symbolise strength, independence, unity and pride. We wish all our Year 6 students the very best in the next chapter of their schooling journey. We also farewell two of our families who have had a vey long association with our school as their last child/ren finish primary school.  Thank you for your continuous support for Mt Albert Primary.
